This course provides participants the elementary principles of PRINCE2®, a 'best practice' method to manage projects. In the course you will find all important PRINCE2® subjects: o The 7 principles: the guiding obligations and good practices, that determine whether the project is genuinely being managed using PRINCE2®. o The 7 themes: aspects of project management that must be continually addressed and in parallel throughout the project. o The 7 processes: items that describe a step-wise progression through the project lifecycle, from getting started to project closure. o The 26 management products: agreements, registers, reports, etc., that are necessary to manage the project. Using PRINCE2® makes everyone in the project to speak the same language and it clarifies the way of communication.

The PRINCE2® themes and processes are the main focus within this course: o themes (7): business case, organization, quality, plans, risk, change, progress o processes (7): starting up a project, directing a project, initiating a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing a stage boundary, closing a project. The PRINCE2®-principles and management products are dealt with the moment they are needed in a theme or process: o principles (7): continued business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities, manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products, tailor to suit the project environment o management products (26): existing of 12 baselines, 6 records and 8 reports At the end of the course all participants will receive two sample examinations, including explanations. Already in the course, we will partially exercise the examination. Twice is an Accredited Training Organization (ATO) in PRINCE2®.
