System Administrators need an in depth understanding of the industry standards used to accomplish Storage Resource Management (SRM). The HP approach to SRM is Storage Essentials (SE). The Standard Edition of SE manages ProLiant and HP-UX systems with HP StorageWorks Arrays. SE Enterprise Edition can manage multi-vendor systems and storage environments. The course covers the integration of SE into an HP System Insight Management (HP SIM) environment. Adding systems, storage arrays and file system management into the SE will be covered by a series of hands-on labs.
