With this Advanced Technical Training (ATT) course, you will receive expert instruction and hands-on experience in using ZENworks 7.5 Asset Management. In addition to reviewing deployment strategies, you will also learn how to automate inventory processes, collect hardware and software information for your Windows, Linux, and NetWare® servers, implement software-usage and compliance components, and do much more. This includes network administrators, resellers, consultants and network support personnel. No previous ZENworks experience is required. This course covers a broad range of topics, many of which are listed below: * Understanding the ZENworks Asset Management and Asset Inventory components * Installing ZENworks Asset Management * Configuring the network discovery system * Using network discovery to add routers, switches, network printers and other hardware to the Asset Management system * Leveraging network discovery to track the extent to which the ZENworks Asset Management Agent is integrated into your Windows environment * Configuring the inventory collection process * Performing a complete hardware and software inventory for all of your Windows workstations and servers * Scanning disconnected Windows machines and NetWare servers * Running inventory reporting * Performing queries with the Win32 Manager application * Performing maintenance tasks, including database purges, product updates and file management * Using the software usage and compliance module * Reconciling purchased licenses against the software discovered by the inventory collection process * Troubleshooting common problems that occur with ZENworks Asset Management * Retrieving information from Microsoft Acive Directory and Novell eDirectory
