The goal of this 1-day, instructor-led MDOP class is to enable information technology workers to understand the technical aspects of MDOP to improve the desktop computing environment. On completion of the course, the student will have an understanding of all of the components of MDOP with the exception of Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization and will have hands-on experience using the different components of MDOP. The main focus of the course is on the concepts and usage of Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, Advanced Group Policy Management, System Center Desktop Error Monitoring, and Microsoft Asset Inventory Service. After completing this course, students will be able to: - Understand the position and benefits of Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack. - Create a DaRT ERD Commander disk and utilize it to diagnose and repair unusable Windows Desktops. - Implement Change Management Control of GPOs utilizing Advanced Group Policy Management. - Configure and interpret error data presented by Desktop Error Monitoring to improve desktop management. - Implement and understand Asset Inventory Service.
